CMS continues to see progress with NPI compliance. Contractors are reporting over 95 percent of claims contain only NPI. However, a few claims continue to reject. Providers having these rejects should review CMS’ list to resolve problems. [PERL 200806-17]

Some organization health care providers will receive letters to review and update their data in NPPES. If providers cannot furnish data that is consistent with the IRS, their national provider identifier in NPPES will be deactivated. [200806-10]
